Cotacachi is located just 2 hours north of Quito’s International airport. The scenic drive through the Andes mountains is approximately a 65 kilometer ride on the newly built Pan-American Highway. Taxi fares are approximately USD $50 per vehicle. Many hotels in Cotacachi will also arrange airport transfers for about the same fare. To take the bus from Quito to Cotacachi, you will need to take the bus from the airport to Otavalo, then take another bus from Otavalo to Cotacachi.
